What is a Ma'am Exam?
The “Ma’am Exam” is a name we proudly adopted in honor of our recent acquisition of Ma’am Exams, a women’s health clinic known for its comprehensive and compassionate approach to preventive care. At HealthyU Clinics, we are committed to continuing this legacy through the Ma’am Exam, a Four Square Women’s Care Exam® that includes an Annual Wellness Visit, PAP test, mammogram, and lab draw, all in one convenient visit.
This service is currently available exclusively at our Gilbert – Pecos Rd location, the former home of Ma’am Exams. However, all HealthyU Clinics patients are welcome to schedule their annual mammogram at this site.
Annual Physical Exam
An annual physical exam is more than just a routine check-up—it’s your opportunity to take charge of your health. These exams help identify potential health issues early, manage existing conditions, and establish a roadmap for a healthier future. During your visit, your provider will evaluate your overall health, check vital signs, discuss your medical history, and recommend preventative screenings tailored to your needs.
Early detection of breast cancer is important for better outcomes and treatment options. SecondReadAI™ uses artificial intelligence (AI) to perform a detailed analysis of your mammogram and alert the interpreting physician of any suspicious areas that may be too small for the human eye to identify.
PAP Test
A pelvic exam is not painful and only takes about 5 minutes. The PAP Test is done during this time so that the clinician can collect cells from the cervix to detect cervical cancer and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
Lab Draw
We ask our patients to come to their appointment drinking only plain water and abstaining from anything else for a minimum of eight hours. For your convenience, we have lab services on site to collect all labs requested from your visit with the provider.
